About the Job:

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Director, Revenue Accounting and OTC Operations to lead our global revenue accounting organization. In this role, you will proactively partner with GTM, Legal, Deal Desk and Product to define the strategy and operating model for how we quote and contract, and design policies and systems that support scalable and predictable growth, reduce friction for customers and internal teams, and protect revenue quality.

You will be responsible for order management, billings, collections, revenue and commissions accounting, ensuring accurate metrics and financial reporting, and strong internal controls and compliance with U.S. GAAP in recognizing revenue.

This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on revenue accounting leader with a customer-centric mindset, who is comfortable driving change across multiple functions at scale, and combines deep technical revenue accounting expertise with operational leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence across an evolving organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the global revenue accounting and OTC operation functions and help shape the controllership roadmap in support of company growth and operational maturity

• Own the accounting for all revenue streams and commissions, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results and metrics reporting

• Serve as the company's subject matter expert on revenue recognition, providing technical guidance to executive leadership and GTM business partners

• Collaborate closely with the Data team on metrics reporting (including ARR, NNARR, ACV), and FP&A on forecasting assumptions and other matters affecting revenue accounting
