MACHINING TECHNICIAN (STARLINK)
As a Machining Technician on the Ultra Precision Machining team, you will support the manufacturing, development, and continuous improvement of key technologies consisting of micron and sub-micron-level tolerance parts and assemblies at production volumes. This role focuses on non-machine-operating activities such as cleaning, testing, assembly, metrology, inspection, and related support tasks. This is a unique and challenging opportunity to use world-class equipment, learn precision manufacturing techniques, and work with some of the best and brightest in their fields. The scope of this team is to produce parts that other companies cannot and to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible to manufacture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow defined work instructions, process controls, and maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain maximum work center uptime by identifying and reporting off-nominal issues (e.g., alarms, out-of-tolerance conditions) and actively maintaining best practices
• Perform cleaning, testing, assembly, inspection, and related support tasks on precision parts and assemblies
• Use metrology equipment including CMMs, optical microscopes, and other precision instruments
• Perform data entry, work tracking, and effective communication with team members and leadership
• Actively seek out and provide feedback on process improvements and efficiency opportunities to engineering/leadership
• Keep a clean and safe work environment following company guidel
