The Role The Finance Team supports and empowers Palantirians through day-to-day operations and creative problem-solving. The International Tax Manager is responsible for supporting the company’s direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions worldwide. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and technical background with the ability to navigate complex and evolving tax matters with a practical business-oriented approach. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, solutions driven and comfortable working cross functionally to support accurate compliance, effective risk management and scalable tax processes.
Requirements
Core Responsibilities: Review foreign tax returns and statutory financials Prepare foreign tax return true-up calculations Review certain US international tax returns and calculations Manage and maintain proper documentation to support various international tax related attributes, including earnings and profits, foreign taxes paid, and book tax differences Manage filing of VAT/GST returns Prepare and review VAT/GST reconciliations, working closely with the International Accounting Team Manage international tax payments and refunds and provide support on monthly tax payment forecast Research and provide technical expertise to address complex international tax issues and draft memoranda Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations in collaboration with internal tax team and external tax advisors Assist customers with international tax related matters, such as withholding tax Assist with transfer pricing documentation What We Value: A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently Experience managing audits and communicating effectively with taxing authorities and internal stakeholders Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen controls across systems and workflows Experience supporting SaaS business models CPA preferred What We Require: 7+ years of relevant experience at a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department of a multinational public company Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with a high level of integrity Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships across all levels of the organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals Hybrid schedule: Ability to work onsite twice a week
