The role

About the Job:

Software powers the world, and LaunchDarkly empowers teams to deliver and control it safely. As a Software Engineer on the Flag Delivery team, you will help build and operate the systems that stream feature-flag configuration to every connected LaunchDarkly SDK globally, in near real time. These systems run at high scale and have to stay reliable, low-latency, and correct; when they fail, customers lose control of their features.

You will own well-scoped projects from design through production, with senior engineers alongside you, on both the current delivery path and the next generation of the architecture. Technologies include Go, AWS, Terraform, and Datadog, but exact tool match matters less than strong fundamentals and a real appetite for learning how large systems behave.

Responsibilities:

Build, ship, and operate features and services in Flag Delivery's streaming and polling infrastructure.

Own well-scoped projects end to end: design, implementation, rollout, and the operational tail.

Investigate and fix production issues, participating in the team's on-call rotation with support.

Write maintainable, well-tested code and take part in code and design reviews.

Improve the observability and reliability of the code you own.

Collaborate with SDK Engineering, Data Platform, and product-engineering teams on work that crosses boundaries.

Grow your depth in distributed systems and production operations with mentorship from senior engine
